St Michael’s School is a single stream co-educational parish school with an enrolment of approximately 240 students from Kindy to Yr 6. The school was established in 1914 by the sisters of Mercy. St Michael’s is a multicultural community, consisting of children from many ethnic backgrounds. An integral part of the school is the St Joseph’s Centre, which provides for the specific needs of a variety of students.
St Michael’s School is a school community founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1914. We aspire to be a secure, caring learning environment where commitment to Faith, Truth, Service and Compassion are encouraged as a way of life.

Welcome back to the second half of the academic year. Term Three is usually a consolidating time where the disruptions are slightly less than other times of the year.
Town of Bassendean Community Update
As I’m sure you are aware by now, we have been through a consultation process with the Town of Bassendean and other community groups regarding the future of the BIC.
These will be held next Monday 25th July in the staffroom from 6.00pm (Board) and 7.30pm (P&F).
