Autism Awareness at St Michael’s
This week we welcomed the beginning of April and World Autism Awareness month. On Wednesday students and staff wore brightly coloured socks to represent neurodiversity and the “brilliant different” in our community. A special rainbow book bag was circulated around the classrooms with lots of stories about inclusion, compassion and the amazing ways that brains can be different. Special thanks go to Mrs Marina Thompson for organising the book bags.
AEGIS Visit
This week the Year 4 students visited the Aegis residents. Audrey delighted the crowd with two violin performances followed by the students reading stories and playing iPad games with the residents.
Performing Arts (Individual)
The annual Performing Arts Festival for Catholic Schools is currently taking entries for performers in the following categories;
