First Eucharist

The candidates involved in the sacrament of First Eucharist have been busy during the first week as they experience the sacrament of Reconciliation, their retreat day and the sacrament of First Eucharist at the St. Joseph’s parish this weekend.

Confirmation Parent Information Evening

A reminder that the Confirmation information night is on Monday 6^th May at 5pm. As the library is in use with afterschool activities, it will be held in the Year 4 class, which has more room than Year 6.

Cross Country Carnival

A reminder that our cross country carnival will be held for Years 3 – 6 students on the BIC next Friday 10^th May from 11am to 12.50pm. Professional Development

During the pupil free days at the end of Term 1 and beginning of Term 2, staff have been busy taking on the role of a student as we learnt more about Making Jesus Real and reading comprehension. On the last day of term, staff listened to Peter Mitchell talk about Spirit of Jesus and how it can be developed. He taught us to acknowledge all the moments during the day when we see acts of kindness that the Spirit of Jesus is around us. On Monday, Prue Smith, a literacy leader from Catholic Education came to our school to discuss recent studies around literacy and improve our understanding of the reading process and the impact this has on developing comprehension skills.

Anzac Day

Thank you to Georgia B and Sam D from Year 6 who took part in the local parade and service for Anzac Day.

They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them,
nor the years condemn.
