School Musical
Monday night was a lovely celebration of the musical and dramatic talents of the St Michael’s students. Congratulations to all the students for their amazing performances, especially to the lead characters from Year 6 who memorised and delivered their lines beautifully. Thanks also go to Mrs Shanahan for the backdrops and to Mrs Panizza for directing the musical.
Financial Literacy Workshop
Recently the P-6 students were treated to an incursion all about financial literacy and how transactions operate. Facilitated by the Commonwealth Bank, it was great to see how engaged all the students were learning about the role money plays in our lives.
Mega Book Sale
On Wednesday, the Year 4 classroom and multi-purpose room were filled with donated books from St Michael’s families ready for our Mega Book Sale. Students delighted in browsing the titles and making their ‘new’ purchases for holiday reading. Many thanks go to Mr Caddy for instigating this book drive. The students raised over $300 that will be donated to local charity Wheelchairs for Kids.
Vinnies Christmas Appeal
Thank you to all the kind families who donated to the Vinnies Christmas Appeal. We, once again, received many donations that will bring joy to families in need during the festive season. It is pleasing to see our school community demonstrate a giving spirit and to help others in the community.
