Spelling in Year 4

In our Assistant Principal roles, we visit classrooms on our administration days. This is a great opportunity to get to know the students better and support teachers. Today, it was the opposite though as I went in to the Year 4 class and learnt how Mr Caddy uses structures for his spelling groups. It was great to see the students engaged in their spelling, taking turns and coaching when someone had spelt a word wrong.

Bishop’s Religious Literacy Assessment

This term students in Year 3 and Year 5 will be sitting the annual Bishop’s Religious Literacy Assessment. The data is used as a guide to see how well our students are learning about their faith and its traditions. Year 5 students will sit the test in Week 4 and Year 3 will sit the test in Week 5. A letter will be sent home with further information for those classes.

Absences

Notes have gone home this week to follow up unresolved absences. Could you please fill in the details, sign and return as soon as possible to the class teachers. This will assist us with our attendance records.
