24:7 Bassendean Youth Group

Youth Group on Sunday night was such a big night. We were able to attract 31 teens to youth group. We had a whole lot of fun with heaps of games and lots of laughter.

Our focus throughout the night was on the second of the Three Theological Virtues – Hope which generated a whole lot of discussion.

We were also really pleased to be of service at the Youth Mass on Sunday morning.

We are also getting ready for our big fundraising weekend on 8-9th December with our Quiz Night and the Bunnings Sausage Sizzle.

Please continue to hold us up in your prayers.

Only 3 more youth group nights remain for the year so don’t miss out. We next meet on Friday November 30th. For all Year 6-12 students. 6.30-8.30pm.

Fundraising Family Quiz Night– Saturday 8th December – call Sam 0474 310 944 or Aloyse 0401 348 508 for more information

Fundraising Bunnings Sausage Sizzle – Sunday 9th December – call Bec Dwyer 0403 127 954 if you can volunteer an hour or so.

Electric Car Charging Station Up and Running in James Street

The Town of Bassendean recently installed its first electric car charging station as part of its commitment to reduce carbon emissions.

A decade ago, the idea of driving an electric car seemed inconceivable but technological improvements, stricter emissions standards and changes in consumer tastes and beliefs will drive electric cars further into mainstream.

There are a number of benefits to electric vehicles over conventional petrol or diesel cars, such as being cheaper to run and maintain; and being better for the environment.

The electric car charger is available FREE of charge 24/7 in an aim to promote the use of electric vehicles within our community.

The charger is located at the James Street Public carpark, opposite number 1 James Street near St Michael’s School and the BIC Reserve.
