Dear Parents and Caregivers

Thank you to all the grandparents and parents who attended our grandparents Mass and morning tea this week – thank you, grandparents, for the joy you bring to our school community and for the support that you provide to our St. Michael’s families! Our thanks also to the various staff members who helped coordinate this event: Mrs Neala Welch, Mrs Jo Richards, Mrs Nicola Gallagher and Miss Katherine Riolo. Our appreciation also goes out to Kirsty Fagan who has agreed to take on our P & F Fundraising Coordinator role! Please see the School News section of this newsletter for a Semester 1 P & F update.

Farewells

This term we have hosted two student teachers from Notre Dame Australia for the entire 10 weeks. This week we farewell Miss Natasha Carvalho (Year 2) and Mr Patrick Harmon (Year 4) who have really become part of our community during their practicum. We thank them for their efforts and wish them all the very best in their future teaching careers.

Mrs Del Murray will be taking all of Term 3 and most of Term 4 off on long service leave and will be replaced by Mrs Louell Renzullo. We wish Del all the very best for a wonderful break and we look forward to seeing her back on 9^th December.  Last, but not least, we are very sad to farewell Miss Lisa Wilson this week as she leaves to take up a full-time Special Needs Education Assistant position at St Kieran. Lisa has been such a vibrant member of our team and will be sorely missed. However, we are excited for this new chapter in her career and wish her all the very best in her new position! Thank you for the care and dedication you have shown to our students Lisa!

Term 3 Dates

A reminder that Term 3 commences for students on Tuesday 23^rd July. A list of important dates for the remainder of the year can be found in the Assistant Principal’s section of this newsletter.

Thank you to staff, students, parents and caregivers for a fantastic semester! We hope you all have a wonderful holiday and manage to have some well-deserved rest and relation.
