Just as the weather has been heating up this week, so too are our end of year activities! With only three weeks of school left for the year, teachers are very busy writing reports and planning for all our end of year functions and events are well underway. I encourage you to keep an eye out for reminders in our various communication tools such as the newsletter and the Connected App!

James St Road Works

As indicated in our text message on Monday, we were informed this week that the James St road works will no longer affect the school so please disregard previous messages about the road closure and alternative pick up arrangements. We apologise for any inconvenience.

AGM – Mon 26 November

A reminder that our upcoming AGM is scheduled for Monday 26 November at 6pm in the hall. Please complete your RSVP and/or nominations form (which can be found on our app) by Monday 19 November. In particular, we are looking for a board member with an accounting qualification and both a new President and Secretary for the P & F.

Loose Parts Incursion

To enhance students’ opportunities for play in the junior primary playground, K – 2 students will be participating in a ‘Loose Parts Incursion’ on Monday. Following the incursion, we will be looking to add a ‘loose parts’ area to our playground where students can build and create using loose parts such as crates, tyres, planks, rope etc. Please keep an eye out in the coming weeks for calls for ‘loose parts’ donations!

Past Student Achievement

Congratulations to former St. Michael’s student, Alex Myint, who competed in the Youth Olympics last month in Buenos Aires, Argentina in the speed skating event!
