Parent Information Evening and Term Overviews

Thanks to all who attended the Parent Information Evening on Monday night. These nights are an important step in building a shared understanding of the year ahead. If you weren’t able to make the meeting and you haven’t received an overview from the evening, please contact your class teacher. The term overviews will also be made available on the Connected app as of Friday 14th.

Addition to school prayer

Last year as a staff we attended a professional development day for the Making Jesus Real program. The presenter and founder, Peter Mitchell, was warm, entertaining and encouraging. He shared many tales of his own experiences growing up and running education camps. He emphasised the importance of kindness and looking after others as Jesus taught. As a result, we have added a final line to our prayer: Live Jesus in our hearts, forever.

Reconciliation Parent Information Evening

Parents of children celebrating the Sacrament of First Reconciliation are invited to attend our parent information evening on Monday 17th February at 5pm in the Year 3 classroom. Mario from 24/7 Youth Ministry will be leading the evening again. We received fantastic feedback from last year’s session and look forward to welcoming Mario back to St Michael’s.

Students receiving the Sacraments this year are asked to attend one of the Sacrament Commitment Masses being held on Saturday 22nd February at 6pm or Sunday 23rd February at 9am at St Joseph’s Parish.
