Dear Parents and Caregivers

Good luck to all our students who are competing at the interschool swimming carnival next Friday! We hope that you try your best and represent us well by displaying good sportsmanship and lovely manners. We also remind spectators who are representing our school to please remember that the judges decisions are final and not to approach the officials.  We strive to model good sportsmanship and resilience to our students at all times.  Thank you to Miss Brescacin for all the work that has gone into coordinating our students for this event.

Sacramental Preparation – Next Week’s Events

On Monday 1st April, the First Communion parent night is being held at 5pm in the Year 4 classroom. We ask that at least one parent of each child who will be making their First Communion attends. The session will be one hour in duration. We have changed our format for these workshops this year with Mario from 24:7 (who also co-ordinate our parish youth ministry) facilitating the session. We received great feedback from the reconciliation parent workshop so we hope you will really enjoy Mario’s presentation.

The Year 3 First Reconciliation ceremony is being held on Wednesday 3rd April at 6pm in the church. We also have the Year 2 Mass on Wednesday morning at 9am. Everyone is welcome to join us.

Kindy Enrolments 2020

A reminder to please submit your application for Kindy 2020 to the front office by the end of term. Enrolment interviews are starting to be booked in and will be conducted in the first few weeks of Term 2. We have more applications than places available so please don’t miss out by forgetting to hand in a form!

Upcoming Student Free Days

A reminder that the last day of Term 1 (Friday 12th April) and the first day of Term 2 (Monday 29th April) are both student free days. This term concludes for students on Thursday 11th April and Term 2 commences on Tuesday 30^th April.

Ryan Powles – Acting Principal for the Remainder of Term

A reminder that I will be at the AERA conference in Toronto next week. I will also be taking some long service leave days around the conference and will therefore be away for the next two weeks. Ryan will be Acting Principal in my absence.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the students, parents and staff for a wonderful first term and a great start to the year. I wish you all a happy and holy Easter. Have a great last two weeks of term and enjoy some rest and relaxation over the Easter break.
