Thank you to all family members who joined us for Ash Wednesday Mass this week. It was a lovely way to commence the Lenten period.

P & F Welcome Event

A reminder that the P & F welcome event has been moved to Friday 20 March. The event will be a family movie at the school and the P & F will supply more information in the near future.

Reporting Suspicious Activity

From time to time we have parents or members of the public report to us suspicious activity surrounding the school, often the following day. Whilst we always appreciate being notified so that we can be extra vigilant and revise important safety message with students, please remember that it is vital to call police immediately to report your observations.

No Parking Areas

It has come to my attention recently that cars are regularly being parked in the area marked as ‘no parking’ at the entrance to the church drive through on Hamilton Street. When a car is parked in this bay, it prevents other cars from being able to turn into the drive through.

I have also noticed several cars parking in the ‘no parking’ area on James St. across the road from the school. Not only can you be fined by the ranger for stopping in this area, it is extremely dangerous to call students to cross the road to your car.

I ask all parents to please abide by all parking signs and pick up routines as these have been put in place to ensure the safety of all students and community members.

Staff Development

Today staff enjoyed a professional development day with Education Changemakers focused on Critical and Creative Thinking, which is our current curriculum focus.
